The oil base is deliberately the richest in the LAB 03 FZC scrub range — coconut oil, certified shea butter, sweet almond oil, and a touch of argan oil — because sugar scrub consumers typically have drier, more sensitive skin and prioritise the moisturising outcome as much as the exfoliation. Shea butter at an elevated concentration gives the scrub a thick, luxurious body texture that reads premium from the first scoop, while the sweet almond oil and argan ensure the post-rinse skin feel is silky and absorbed rather than heavy. The entire oil phase delivers genuine skin nourishment during application — not just lubrication — leaving skin visibly smoother, softer, and more radiant immediately after rinsing.
The raw cane sugar variant is a distinct product tier — unrefined brown cane sugar crystals in a darker amber colour with a natural molasses fragrance note, a coarser particle size, and a more artisan, craft aesthetic. Sucrose (Saccharum Officinarum) Pure cane sugar crystals — the gentlest natural physical exfoliant available. Softer than salt and coffee grounds, they dissolve progressively on warm damp skin releasing naturally occurring glycolic acid (present in sugarcane juice) for mild AHA exfoliation alongside the physical crystal action. Sucrose is also a natural humectant — it actively draws moisture into the skin as it dissolves, uniquely hydrating rather than drying the skin during exfoliation. Available in fine (150–280µm), classic white (300–500µm), and raw cane muscovado (500–800µm) grades.
