About this formulation

Scent is the fastest and most durable brand communication tool available to a hotel, spa, or lifestyle brand — and a private label room spray is the most cost-effective way to deploy it. The olfactory system is the only human sense with a direct neural pathway to both the hippocampus (memory formation) and the amygdala (emotional response) — bypassing the cognitive filtering that all visual and auditory brand signals must pass through. A signature scent detected on room entry creates an immediate, subconscious brand association that no lobby design, logo, or marketing message can replicate in the same timeframe or with the same emotional depth. Brands that own their olfactory identity — from the Singapore Airlines cabin scent to Mandarin Oriental’s signature fragrance — consistently score higher on guest loyalty and brand recall metrics than those that rely on visual identity alone.

LAB 03 FZC manufactures private label room sprays in two base formulas, each with a distinct commercial application. The water-based (alcohol-free) formula is the hospitality and fabric-safe choice — it can be sprayed directly onto bed linen, upholstery, towels, and carpets without risk of staining or fabric damage, and produces a fine, persistent mist that lingers in the air and on fabric for 3–6 hours without the harsh initial spray of an alcohol-based product. The alcohol-based formula produces a faster-drying, stronger initial fragrance throw that dissipates more cleanly from the air — appropriate for retail environments, treatment rooms before a client enters, and home fragrance use on hard surfaces. Both formulas are available in all five scent profiles, and both can be manufactured with a bespoke signature fragrance.

The five signature scent profiles are specifically curated for the GCC market — not adapted from a European home fragrance brief. The Arabian Oud & Amber profile, developed in consultation with UAE perfumers, uses natural oud accord alongside warm amber, sandalwood, and base vetiver to create the most culturally resonant and commercially appropriate home fragrance for the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and GCC hospitality context. It is currently the most-requested LAB 03 FZC room fragrance for Ramadan and Eid gifting, hotel suite amenity, and luxury retail. The complete collection of five profiles is designed to allow a single brand to serve every season, every occasion, and every mood under a cohesive fragrance identity.

Manufactured under ISO 22716 GMP in Sharjah, UAE. Export-ready for UAE, GCC, EU, and USA. Request scent samples of all five profiles within 24–48 hours.

Hotels & Resorts

The signature scent that defines the guest experience A hotel's signature room spray is the most immediately impactful sensory brand element in the guest room — more immediate than the thread count, more memorable than the minibar, and more consistently cited in positive reviews than almost any other amenity detail. Applied by housekeeping to linens and the room air at each turndown, the water-based formula leaves the suite smelling of the hotel's signature identity from the moment the guest opens the door. A 200ml bottle of the Arabian Oud & Amber profile on the bathroom vanity, available for purchase, extends the signature scent into the guest's home. LAB 03 FZC manufactures the matching body lotion, shower gel, and massage candle in the same scent — enabling a complete sensory brand experience from a single manufacturer.

Spa & Wellness Centers

The treatment room atmosphere and retail take-home A spa's signature scent — applied to the treatment room 10 minutes before the client enters — creates the psychological transition from the outside world to the treatment experience before the client has even lain on the table. The scent becomes a conditioned relaxation signal: over repeated visits, clients begin to feel a physiological relaxation response when they smell it anywhere. A 100ml frosted glass bottle of the spa's signature room spray in the retail boutique at AED 85–130 is one of the most consistent take-home purchases — clients want to recreate the spa atmosphere at home. The White Tea & Mint and Rose & Sandalwood profiles are the most consistently purchased for spa retail in UAE.

Retail Brands

The premium home fragrance GCC retail opportunity Home fragrance is one of the fastest-growing premium lifestyle categories in GCC retail — and private label room spray is the most accessible entry point for a new home fragrance brand. A collection of five scent profiles in matching dark glass bottles with elegant typographic labels communicates the same premium as international home fragrance brands at a retail price of AED 65–120 for 100ml. The Arabian Oud & Amber and Vanilla & Bakhoor profiles address the specific GCC market demand that international brands consistently underserve. A branded collection of two or three complementary profiles with a cohesive visual identity is the most commercially effective entry into UAE concept store and pharmacy retail.

Frequently asked Questions

What is the difference between the water-based and alcohol-based formulas in practical use?

The practical difference is primarily in how you intend to use the spray and where. The water-based formula is specifically designed for fabric and linen application — it can be sprayed directly onto hotel bed linen, pillowcases, towels, upholstered furniture, and curtains without risk of staining, watermarking, or fabric damage. The fragrance molecules are carried in a water-soluble solubiliser that evaporates slowly, binding to fabric fibres and releasing the scent gradually over 3–6 hours. This makes it the correct choice for hotel housekeeping, spa treatment tables, and any environment where guests come into direct contact with the fragranced surface. The alcohol-based formula produces a stronger, more immediate fragrance burst — the ethanol volatilises rapidly on spraying, carrying the fragrance molecules into the air in an intense initial release that dissipates to a pleasant ambient level within 30–60 minutes. It is not recommended for direct fabric application as ethanol can affect certain fabric dyes and finishes. It is the correct choice for spraying into the air of a treatment room before a client arrives, for restaurant front-of-house ambient scenting, and for hard-surface retail environments. Both formulas are available in all five scent profiles and can be mixed — using the water-based formula for linen and the alcohol-based for air scenting in the same property.

Can LAB 03 FZC develop a completely unique signature fragrance for our brand?

Yes — bespoke signature fragrance development is one of the most requested services from hospitality and premium retail clients. The process begins with a fragrance brief — either a written description of the mood, occasion, and brand values you want the scent to communicate, a reference to existing fragrances whose character you admire, or a visual mood board that our perfumers interpret into a fragrance direction. We develop 3–5 candidate fragrance directions from the brief and send physical samples for evaluation. After feedback and 1–2 rounds of refinement, you approve a final fragrance. This fragrance is then exclusively licensed to your brand — it will not be reproduced for any other client. The same signature fragrance is then available across the full scent ecosystem: room spray (water and alcohol formulas), massage candle, body lotion, shower gel, and reed diffuser — all manufactured by LAB 03 FZC from a single fragrance compound, ensuring absolute consistency of scent identity across every product in your collection. Bespoke fragrance development adds approximately 2–3 weeks to the standard production timeline and a modest development fee.

Is the water-based formula genuinely safe for all fabrics?

The water-based formula is safe for most natural and synthetic fabrics when used correctly — but “fabric-safe” is not an absolute claim, and we recommend testing on an inconspicuous area before first use on any specific fabric. The formula will not stain, watermark, or damage cotton, linen, polyester, or standard blended fabrics at the correct application distance (50cm, sprayed into the air above rather than directly onto the surface). The specific situations requiring caution are: silk (moisture can affect the drape of raw silk — test first), heavily embroidered or beaded fabric (spray into the air above, never directly), very dark-dyed fabrics (some natural dye processes are sensitive to pH changes — test first), and antique or museum-quality textiles (do not apply at all). In standard hotel and spa contexts — cotton sheets, polyester blend towels, standard upholstery fabrics — the water-based formula performs reliably without any fabric safety issues. The alcohol-based formula should not be used on fabric in any context — ethanol can affect certain synthetic fibres, natural dyes, and fabric finishes.

Is the alcohol-based formula halal-compliant?

Standard denatured ethanol (ethyl alcohol) is a conventional ingredient in alcohol-based room sprays globally — and its halal status is a nuanced question that varies by Islamic jurisprudence interpretation. For brands operating in Saudi Arabia or other GCC markets with strict halal requirements for cosmetic and consumer products, we offer an alternative non-ethanol alcohol-based formula using Dipropylene Glycol (DPG) or isopropyl myristate as the carry solvent — these alternatives provide comparable fragrance throw and fast-dry performance without ethanol and are universally considered halal-appropriate. The water-based formula is unambiguously halal-appropriate as it contains no alcohol whatsoever. If halal certification for the room spray is required for SFDA registration or Islamic retail positioning, we recommend the water-based formula or the DPG alternative and can provide full ingredient origin documentation and halal certification support.

How much room spray is needed per hotel room per day?

For a standard hotel room (approximately 30–40m²), the recommended application is 3–4 pumps of the water-based formula at turndown — 2 pumps into the centre of the room at shoulder height, and 1 pump lightly above each pillow (not directly onto the pillowcase, but into the air above it). This equates to approximately 2–3ml per application, meaning a 200ml bottle provides approximately 65–100 room applications — roughly 2–3 months of daily turndown service for a single room. For a 100-room hotel at daily turndown, a 200ml bottle per room lasts 2–3 months, or the hotel requires approximately 40–60 bottles per month across the property. The 500ml refill format reduces per-application cost and packaging waste for high-volume properties — housekeeping decants into smaller application bottles from the 500ml refill. A volume discount applies for orders of 50 bottles or more — contact us for commercial property pricing.
