About this formulation
The tear-free claim is not a marketing term — it is a formulation achievement. True tear-free performance requires a surfactant system that does not cause corneal irritation at the concentrations present in the formula when it contacts the eye during a child’s shower. The sodium amphoacetate and disodium cocoamphodiacetate system used here meets ophthalmological safety testing standards, with an eye irritation profile equivalent to a saline solution. This is the same surfactant class used in the most stringent baby and toddler products globally, and gives both the buyer and the parent full confidence in the claim.
The formula is completely free of sulphates, parabens, artificial fragrance, synthetic dyes, and any ingredient on the EU Cosmetics Regulation’s list of restricted or prohibited substances for children’s products. The preservation system uses a gentle phenoxyethanol combination at the lowest effective concentration, well within the limits set by the Scientific Committee on Consumer Safety (SCCS) for children’s cosmetics. The pH is calibrated to 5.5–6.5 — matching children’s skin pH closely and supporting the acid mantle that is still fully establishing itself in children under ten.
