About this formulation
The formula architecture is built around a mild, skin-compatible surfactant base — using sodium lauroyl sarcosinate and cocamidopropyl betaine for effective cleansing without stripping — into which natural exfoliant particles are uniformly suspended by a carefully calibrated thickener system (sodium chloride and xanthan gum). The exfoliant particle choice is the critical formulation decision for a hand wash scrub, and the four variants offer four distinct particle systems: walnut shell powder (robust, angular particles for thorough exfoliation of dry, calloused palms), sugar crystals (dissolving particles that provide initial gentle exfoliation then dissolve into a moisturising syrup before rinsing), Dead Sea salt (mineral-enriched angular particles with osmotic drawing action), and pumice stone (the most aggressive physical exfoliant, suited to heavy-duty hand cleaning contexts).
The emollient base — shea butter, sweet almond oil, glycerin, and panthenol — is present at concentrations calibrated to deliver a noticeably conditioned skin feel after rinsing, converting what would otherwise be a purely functional scrub-wash into a genuine skin-care product with a premium sensory experience. Shea butter and sweet almond oil deposit a thin conditioning film on the skin surface as the product rinses, leaving hands feeling soft and nourished rather than stripped — which is the principal complaint consumers have with standard hand washes that do not include emollient conditioning.
