About this formulation

The base gel uses a mild SCI and Cocamidopropyl Betaine surfactant system — the same mild coconut-derived base as our Lifestyle and Hydrating Shower Gels — ensuring the product cleans effectively during exfoliation without over-stripping a skin surface that is already being physically worked. Allantoin and panthenol are included to soothe any surface sensitivity generated by the exfoliation process, and glycerin maintains hydration through the wash. The post-rinse skin feel — soft, bright, immediately smoother — is the sensory proof point that drives repeat purchase and brand loyalty in this category.

Glycolic Acid The smallest-molecule AHA — 76 daltons — giving it superior skin penetration versus other hydroxy acids. Dissolves the desmosomes (intercellular bonds) holding dead cells together, accelerating cell turnover and revealing fresher skin beneath. At low concentrations (0.5–2%) in a rinse-off body wash, it provides a gentle brightening and smoothing benefit safe for regular use. At 3–5% it delivers a meaningful cell renewal effect suitable for hyperpigmentation, rough texture, and keratosis pilaris.
